Greg Hamerton Interviewed

I thought I’d draw you attention to an interview that was done with Greg by Nerine Dorman in a local (that’s, South African) newspaper; The Star. Why? Well, beyond the fact that you can find out more about Greg and his work by reading the interview, it’s absolutely awesome to see a Fantasy author, from South Africa, interviewed in a newspaper in his own country – this doesn’t, unfortunately, happen as often as it should.

Hopefully this is an indication of a change happening in the SA press – there are always plenty of reviews of non-SFF books as well as interviews with these authors but very little in terms of SFF is covered; this NEEDS to change if any market can be grown here, and it’s great to see that Greg is getting this kind of attention. And I’m not only talking about reviews and interviews in provincial newspapers but nationwide – if this doesn’t happen, South Africa will never be able to grow its own SFF market. I say, MORE PLEASE! 🙂

Follow this link through to the interview, and check out Greg’s official site here. Also, head on over to Greg’s page at his publisher, Eternity Press. If you’d like to order copies of The Riddler’s Gift, click here for Amazon UK, here for Amazon US (Kindle, Paperback) and here is the link for Second Sight. For readers in SA, order your copies online at The Riddler’s Gift, and to get a copy of Second Sight, check out the special deals on Greg’s website. 🙂

There’s also a review of The Riddler’s Gift over at Fantasy Book Review, and I’ll be posting my reviews soon, too. 🙂
