I’m a Winner!! :-)

21 Sep

I was boared, checking out the blogs I usually go to, and saw the good news: I won the autographed copy of The Temporal Void that Pat was giving away over at the Hotlist! 🙂 So it’s gonna be Peter V Brett’s The Painted Man, Phillip Palmer’s Debatable Space and Peter F Hamilton’s The Temporal Void, all autographed, that are getting pride of place on my bookshelf!! 🙂 (Excuse me while I jump up and down a bit). 🙂

Also, check out Liz’s review of The Painted Man here:

Trust Liz, Graeme and myself: the book is excellent! So stop procrastinating and buy it! 🙂

Anyway, still reading The Name of The Wind, and when I’m done with that, I’ll be reading Greg Egan’s Incandescence and C.C Humphreys’ Vlad: The Last Confession, as well as John Meaney’s Dark Blood. Plus there’ll be more interviews soon! 🙂

Also, follow this link over to Karen Miller’s page where you’ll be able to get more info on her Rogue Agent series, which begins with The Accidental Sorcerer, and you’ll be able to read an extract. 🙂 Here’s the link:

Be fantastic!

Congratulations on being a winner, my friend! You should be getting your book this week, if the courier manages to find you. I did try and ring you last week, but ended up speaking to one of your minions instead. He ended up giving me your physical work address. Have fun! … does this mean you also want a copy of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman when I see him next month? Drop me an email and we can negotiate…snh snh snh.

I’m far too jealous to congratulate you… …i’m sitting at my desk in the US trying to find the address of my Canadian uncle so i don’t have to wait until March to get my hands on a copy of Temporal Void. I discovered (rather late in the game i must say) Peter F. Hamilton while stuck in the Frankfurt airport overnight and was instantly hooked on the Void series. I left sci-fi long ago for Robert Jordan and fantasy, only to be more than welcomed back by Hamilton and his wonderfully written Dreaming Void. Again, you are a lucky blogger and have fun reading!
