I remember seeing that interview with Alfred Hitchcock myself. He truly was a master at suspense and horror. Salem's Lot was also a good book of King's but do yourself a favour and try to get your hands on IT. It is very gruesome and disturbing, within the first 2 pages a child gets his arms riped of by IT. Its one of the books i will remember for the rest of my life.
And its a pleasure Mauricio, hope i can keep up the good work for you guys, and gals.

Didn't read IT, but Salem's Lot did give a nightmare, or two as did the movie IT. Alfred Hitchcock once said in an interview I saw on television that people love to be scared. In fact he said that it is an inate fact and he explained that if you cradel a baby in your arms and say, "BOO!" the baby will giggle. I've always remember that interview. Guess Alfred Hitchcock and Stephen King just know how to scare people in a way that make them (and us) return for more!

I agree fully Sharon. There is just something about the anticipation of a scare that i cant resist. You know its coming but you dont know when, where or what form it will be in. My favorite horror novel to this day remains Stephen King's IT, have not found anything to beat it yet.

The Hunting Season sounds like my kind of book! Yes, I like horror novels as well as science fiction and fantasy. While my first published nove, Long Journey to Rneadal,l is a romantic action adventure in space and is more about the characters than the technology. I am working on my second novel that is a futuristic horror tale entitled, Shadow in the Crowd. After I first began the second novel, I realized why Stephen King writes so many horror novels -- it's a heck of a lot of fun scaring people! Great review!
